I originally purchased Bayonetta on the Xbox 360 back in the day but it remained unplayed through several subsequent re-purchases on various platforms until I finally sat down to complete it recently. The experience was a revelation; the game by Platinum is undeniably beautiful, trading standard realism for a lavish explosion of gold, feathers, and flowing hair that makes every frame feel like a deliberate piece of art. Its unique grace and celestial architecture prove that bold, stylized direction remains timeless, turning what could have been a simple action game into a hauntingly elegant visual spectacle. It is a masterclass in gothic maximalism, blending high-fashion couture sensibilities with a grotesque, Renaissance-inspired reimagining of the angelic hierarchy. Here are screenshots of my playthrough.
